John Meat here. I publish a printed fanzine that is the same name of this site.

I am aware that the name is silly and/ or cringeworthy. I'm sticking with it. Step Off

Just in time for the apocalypse ...I'm returning to blog and printed form.

There will be an obvious learning curve as this is my first journey into digital media.

Featuring bands that we love and many special features soon. 

Meatsheet started in 1995 ish and last printed issue was released around 2002 give or take.

I hope to keep this fun. If you are familiar with my previous efforts you may notice some changes. For example I used to cover select hardcore , punk, indie bands. Skateboarding and it's culture. Mid 90's Star Wars and vintage. I used to cover Howard Stern related stuff, mainly wack packers ( characters) , friends of his show, crank phone callers, etc. 

However In 2020 it is hard enough to keep up with indie music. Equally hard to keep up with hardcore and punk in a thorough way. I'm not interested in covering Howard Stern or Star Wars in the new blog or zine. At least not in a major way, there may be looks back at previously unreleased and released material. It is my goal that you find something of interest on this site. I am happy to produce content in a world where there are many other blogs to read so thanks for stopping by.
