Picture This (MeatSheet Photos)

FearOfMen3

Photo page (s) Picture this. Not only is it a legendary Huey Lewis and the News album but this is a home for all the bands, people of interest, and such that I documented between 2002 up until 2020. That is to say, stuff that probably would have made it into a printed zine if I didn't choose to go into hiatus for two decades.

There are photos from Philly and the East Coast mostly New Jersey New York areas and then after 2008 it is likely they will be taken somewhere in the Metro Phoenix AZ area.

My favorite photo is the main photo in the collage on the cover of Meatsheet #5. I had one exposure left and captured Chaka Malik and Vic DiCara of Burn. It was the 2000 ish reunion show at Club Krome (formerly Club Bene) in Sayreville NJ. Alan Cage of Burn granted me a few questions regarding drums aka drummer profile. You can see the photo and order a copy here https://meatsheetfanzine.com/product/meat-sheet-fanzine-issue-5/

Here is the Burn EP that started it all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixC6J1KBiAo If you dig this EP and do not have it in some shape or form, support the band or Revelation Records or any of the numerous projects that these guys were or are in. Every bit helps the artists out. Streams help but let's face it, they don't put a dent in living expenses unless they number in tens of thousands. Vinyl, CD, Tape, digital purchase and merch make a huge difference.

Please send a message if you want to use any photos. I gladly spent many hours and dollars and time to be able to get to these shows and places to document these moments so please understand that. I'm sure we can work something out.

Some of these artists faded away some of them are still kickin it in some shape or form. So as a result I'll give you a little caption or blurb as long as my memory serves for each photo. I will try to provide links to the artist and people of interest.

If they are still doing it this long I think it's safe to say they earned some support. And if the artist have not been doing it as long as others find the ones you like, buy their stuff. If that's not possible share the shit out of it. That is the spirit of what fanzines are all about. Much gratitude. Enjoy the Meatsheet photo page archive.
