Jerky Boys Return With New Sol Call

The Jerky Boys return ! They are legendary crank callers.  My first exposure to them is due to the long gone dubbed cassette tapes. These tapes were heavily copied and passed around among friends. If you remember the days of buying ten packs of blank cassettes you know what I mean. The copying in the greater New York New Jersey area spread from there. The rest is (crank call) history. To actually get a zine of mine that features legendary crank callers that follow in the footsteps of Jerky Boys, I recommend Jim Florentine (Meat Sheet #5) or Touchtone Terrorists. (Meat Sheet #6) https://meatsheetfanzine.com/product/meat-sheet-fanzine-issue-5/

Both put spins on crank calls and have people call them rather than the pranker calling the prankee. #5) Get one or both , here https://meatsheetfanzine.com/product/meatsheet-fanzine-issue-6/

Space Jerky

What is old is new again, It looks like they are at it again. I have my doubts because phone are different technology now. Will they be able to pull it off? This new call features a few choice moments. Johnny Brennan as Saul Rosenberg.

When put in the right situation, like bacteria in a petri dish. The growth of something funny is a guarantee.

I don’t even know what I Robot is but it’s funny. I don’t want to give it away but like usual there is at least one statement that makes me chuckle or even (I hate to use this term) LOL laugh out loud.

Looks like they are releasing something in late November that might be self-titled. In the meantime poor Sol, much like me, is struggling with technology. Rolling Stone can suck it but if they are the means to hear the new call so be it.  Check it out here. https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/jerky-boys-premiere-first-album-20-years-1067572

Until next time, or Jerky Boys return, get your laughs where you can , these are heavy times.
